Overview

A forehead lift, or an eyebrow lift, is a procedure option for improving the appearance of forehead creases. “Brow lifts”, as they are sometimes referred to, help reduce  “frown lines” by minimizing the drooping of forehead skin. Specifically, a brow lift corrects sagging skin on the forehead, upper eyelids and eyebrows. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, brow lifts, especially the newer procedures, are becoming increasing popular. We offer both endoscopic eyebrow lifts, as well as chemical lifts using Botox®.

Endoscopic Forehead Lift

The newest and most popular surgical procedure for brow lifts is the endoscopic forehead lift. Endoscopic brow lifts are less invasive and involve fewer health risks than older, classic forehead lifts. This method involves making several small incisions behind the hairline where an endoscope, which is a device that is connected to a monitor, is inserted. The endoscope gives the doctor a clear view of the operation.  Other incisions allow your doctor to lift your skin and alter or remove the muscles and tissues. As another option, your eyebrows may be elevated or “lifted” to bring a renewed look to your face.

Botox

Botulinum toxins, or Botox® is another option for enhancing the appearance of the face by changing the eyebrows.  Botox® chemical brow lifts are offered as an alternative to the endoscopic forehead lift. Injections are used to depress the muscles around the brow and restoring youth to the face. Commonly, Botox® injections are inserted into the facial muscles which are used for frowning, smiling and the muscles that cause crows feet. Botox® injections are extremely safe and can be performed in your doctor’s office during an appointment. Our doctors are trained and experienced in the use of Botox® for brow lifts and many other procedures.
